I believe each body is gifted with unique capabilities.
Yoga encourages us to recognize these differences and honors them without judgement.
It is truly an individual practice best enjoyed in community.
I have the pleasure of teaching regular slow flow vinyasa style yoga classes in Indianapolis, Indiana.
I was fortunate enough to discover the joy of yoga in college during the late 90s. Practicing yoga brought me peace and clarity while fostering a connectedness of my mind and body. I felt my stress level decrease as my ability to focus increase - I was hooked!
In 2019, after nearly 25 years of faithful practice, I completed the 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at CitYoga School of Yoga and Health. The certification process introduced me to the complexity of human anatomy and the depth of yogic philosophy. I began sharing my practice with others, customizing flows to best meet the needs of the unique bodies around me.
Understanding the importance of maintaining mental health, I sought to integrate mindfulness into my yoga classes with more intentionality. In May 2024, I completed a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course.
I recognize not all physical bodies have the ability to enjoy a mat based practice. In September 2024, I had the honor of training with Lakshmi Voelker and receiving certification in the Lakshmi Voelker Chair Yoga Method.
It is a joy and a blessing to share my passions for yoga and mindfulness with anyone interested in carving out peace amongst the chaos.
